Bright Eyes - Liz Earle Eyebright Review

One of the (many) reasons things have been a little quiet on the blog recently is due to a little problem with my peepers.  Unfortunately I had an allergic reaction to something and strangely my eyes have been super sensitive ever since.  That coupled with the false lashes and waterproof mascara I apply on a daily basis means my eyes have been suffering a bit!

When I first came to try this Eyebright Soothing Eye Lotion* from Liz Earle I was a little sceptical at first, not to mention nervous that I might have another reaction.  But I needn't have worried.  Almost immediately my eyes were cooled and soothed.  It contains aloe vera which is great for easing itchiness and redness, witch hazel to cleanse the area and tone the skin and cornflower which is known for dealing with mild inflammation.

I use this product most evenings when my eyes can be at their worst, after removing my makeup and cleansing, to get rid of any last bits of dirt and calm down the angry skin.  I've also discovered that this is amazing the morning after the night before.  If you wake up feeling a little worse for wear soak a couple of cotton pads in the lotion and lie back for 5 mins... Bliss!  I can also imagine this would be a wonder product after long-haul flights because the effects are so instant.

This isn't something I would have bought myself but it's definitely something I'll repurchase.  As with most Liz Earle products you can grab a small 50ml trial bottle for around £6 to give it a go yourself!
