Smashbox hydrating under eye primer review

Smashbox is fast becoming a brand I'm looking to more and more for high performing products without gimicks.  This little gem popped up in my goodie bag from the last Smashbox event I went to.  Since then it's been making a regular appearance in my makeup routine.

I'm all for using products that keep the undereye area plump and hydrated.  It can stop your concealer drying out and going all craggy which emphasises small lines.  This contains caffeine to instantly fix the puffiness and peptides for long lasting hydration, it also throws in a few optical blurring ingredients which makes for one exciting product.

Unlike normal face primers it doesn't feel silicone-y, which I am greatly pleased about. I'm not the biggest fan of silicone products on my face so this is a winner for me.  On the skin it feels like an extension of my eye cream but sinks in quickly.  I apply a little of my favourite MAC mineralize concealer and I'm left with the brightest, most natural finish which is really long lasting.  I've also found that by using this product I need less concealer which is a big thumbs up from me.
